A fight between Mike Perry and Daniel Rodriguez has been targeted for UFC Fight Night 189 on April 10th at a destination still to be confirmed.
Perry can count himself fortunate that he still has a place on the UFC roster given that not only has he lost six of his last nine fights, but he’s also had multiple issues outside of the Octagon too.
That includes accusations of alleged domestic violence via his ex-wife and being involved in addition to an alleged assault at a restaurant that was partially caught on camera last year.
To cap it off, Perry came in 4lbs overweight for his last fight against Tim Means and then lost by unanimous decision, so he’s got a lot to prove heading into this next bout.
As for Rodriguez, he’s coming off his first loss in the UFC, dropping a decision to Nicholas Dalby back in November.
Prior to that, D-Rod had won his first three fights in a row in the UFC after initially being recruited from the Contender Series.
Perry vs. Rodriguez would join a UFC Fight Night 189 card that’s set to be headlined by Darren Till vs. Marvin Vettori, while other notable bouts include Mackenzie Dern vs. Nina Ansaroff and Sodiq Yusuff vs. Arnold Allen.
