Molly McCann once again thrived in front of her home fans in the UK today at UFC Fight Night 208 as she delivered an impressive first round TKO finish against Hannah Goldy.
Round One:
Missed leg kick from Goldy as McCann presses forward immediately. McCann ducks low as she wades in throwing body punches.
Brief clinch and Goldy lands a knee before the break. Right hand lands for McCann. She just misses with an overhand.
Now McCann does land an overhand. Now more body work. Leg kick for Goldy. Right hand for McCann. Goldy grabs for a single leg and walks McCann over to the cage. She lets go of it and settles for the clinch. Knee to the body for her.
Goldy trying for a trip takedown, but despite spinning around McCann stays upright.
Now McCann manages to push Goldy away and goes back to striking. However, Goldy goes for another takedown quickly, but eats a strike as she’s holding the single-leg and gives up on it.
McCmann trying to find a way to steer punches past Goldy’s guard. She does land a nice punch now. Pressing forward McCann lands a big right hand, follows up with a spinning back elbow that dazes Goldy and then a flurry of punches that sends Goldy to the mat.
McMann looks for ground and pound and that’s it, another highlight-reel win for ‘Meatball’ via TKO at 3.52mins of the first round.
