With former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir stepping in to replace Alistair Overeem against current title holder Junior Dos Santos the UFC is now doing it’s best to hype up the new headliner for May 26th’s UFC 146 event.
In a new trailer we see footage from Dos Santos’ KO win over Cain Velasquez which earned him the belt last year, spliced with Mir’s last victory – a brutal kimura submission which snapped the arm of another Brazilian star Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
Mir will come into this fight as a significant underdog, but that headline-grabbing win over ‘Big Nog’ does at least give him some traction heading into this headline bout.
