Norman Parke Announces He’s Been Released By UFC

Northern Ireland’s Norman Parke has announced that he’s been released by the UFC, ending a three and a half year spell fighting for the promotion.

The former TUF: The Smashes winner was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Rustam Khabilov at UFC Fight Night 83 in the UK in February.

That was the 29 year-old’s third loss in his last four fights in the Octagon, taking the shine off a solid start to his UFC run which had seen him compile four wins and a draw.

Parke holds an overall 21-5-1 record in his 10 year MMA career so far, and it’s likely he’ll re-appear in another notable promotion before long.

Check out what ‘Stormin Norman’ had to say about his time in the UFC having come to an end below.

“I just wanna say a huge thanks to the ufc for giving me the great opportunity to compete at the highest level in combat sports.. Iv had many great memories that will stay with me forever!! Im now looking to fight this summer so what ever comes up il be ready to go!! On any show anywhere..
