A light-heavyweight clash between Ovince Saint Preux and Misha Cirkunov has been added to the UFC 235 card in Las Vegas on March 2nd.
OSP will be looking to get 2019 off to a good start after a somewhat disappointing 2018 campaign that saw him lose two of his three fights in the Octagon.
It started with a guillotine choke defeat against Ilir Latifi, and though he then picked up a submission win over Tyson Pedro he again suffered a loss later in the year versus rising Brazilian star Dominick Reyes.
Prior to that Saint Preux had racked up three wins in a row, including back-to-back victories via the rare Von Flue choke, but his recent losses have seen him slump to No.11 in the rankings.
As for Cirkunov, he only managed to fight once in the year gone by, defeating Patrick Cummins by submission in the first round.
That righed the ship for the 14th ranked Polish fighter, who in 2017 suffered two first round losses to strikes in a row against Volkan Oezdemir and Glover Teixiera.
OSP Vs Cirkunov joins a UFC 235 card that doesn’t yet have a confirmed headliner, but is expected to see former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler welcoming Ben Askren to the Octagon, while Jeremy Stephens fights Zabit Magomedsharipov.
