The latest episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ saw the contestants being forced to switch their professional dance partner, but UFC star Paige VanZant took the change in her stride.
PVZ danced a rhumba to One Direction’s ‘Perfect’ with her new partner for the night, Sasha Faber, and while she wasn’t able to deliver as high scores for her performance as last week the 22 year-old still managed a very respectable 31/40, with all but one judge giving her an ‘8’.
That was good enough for 4th place on the night, though some way behind Nyle DiMarco who topped the scorecard on the night with 37/40.
Nonetheless, guest judge and former dancer on the show, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, told PVZ that, “You are more than capable of winning the show, in my mind.”
There was no elimination on the show this week, so all nine remaining contestants move on to their sixth week on the show on ABC, where they’ll return to dancing with their regular partners.
When she’s not dancing, PVZ can be found fighting in the UFC where she holds a 6-2 career record competing in the strawweight division.
Her DWTS stint has postponed her return to the Octagon for now, but she continues to train and hopes to compete again soon after her run on the show comes to an end.
