UFC star Paige VanZant progressed to the semi-finals of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ last night on ABC after receiving high marks for her two routines on the show.
PVZ danced a Vienesse Waltz with a ‘Game Of Thrones’ theme with her partner Mark Ballas that scored 28/30, then was part of a team including fellow contestant Antonio Brown that scored 29/30 for their ‘gods’ themed paso doble.
The combination of those two high scores ensured that PVZ was safe from elimination on the night and now progresses to the semi-finals, with just two episodes of the show left to go.
Meanwhile, one of the favorites to win the season, actress Jodie Sweetin was eliminated despite having scored a perfect 30/30 for one of her dances last night.
VanZant has done very well indeed to get this far, but next week will be another huge hurdle to overcome as two celebrities are set to be eliminated ahead of the final.
Whatever happens, the show has already been a big success for the 22 year-old, though it has temporarily held back her burgeoning MMA career, with PVZ’s manager recently ruling her out of a planned return to action at UFC 200 in July.
Hopefully her new-found celebrity status won’t interfere with her getting back to business in the Octagon before too much longer though.
