Pedro Nobre And Three Other Fighters Released From The UFC

The UFC are continuing to clean house in the first month of 2013 with news reaching us that four more fighters have been released from the promotion.

Perhaps the most notable fighter on this occasion is Pedro Nobre who gained infamy this past weekend at ‘UFC On FX 7’ when he appeared to fake an injury which lead to his fight with Yuri Alcantara being declared a no-contest despite that Nobre had clearly been losing up until that moment.

Dana White made it clear immediately afterwards that he thought he was play-acting and that appears to have resulted in Nobre being handed his walking papers. Off the top of my head I can’t think of a fighter who’s had a more disastrous debut in the UFC than this as Nobre now has a massive black mark against his name and is probably never going to live down this regrettable incident.

The other fighters released on this occasion were Ken Stone (2-2 in the UFC), Josh Janousek who’d been brought in as a late replacement for his first fight just a few days ago before pulling out with an injury, and Byron Bloodworth (0-2 in the UFC).
