A light-heavyweight fight between Phil Davis and Ryan Bader has been made official for UFC On FOX 14 which takes place in a 30,000 seater in Stockholm, Sweden on January 24th.
Davis hit a bump in the road a couple of fights ago when he faced UFC On FOX 14’s headliner Anthony ‘Rumble Johnson back in April and found himself on the wrong end of a one-sided decision loss, ending a winning streak spanning four fights.
He’s since bounced back with a unanimous decision victory against Glover Teixeira which helped keep him amongst the 205lb division’s top contenders at No.5 on the official rankings.
Bader is currently situated just two rungs down the ladder at No.7 after stringing together three wins in a row against Anthony Perosh, Rafael ‘Feijao’ and Ovince St. Preux.
Davis Vs Bader adds to what will be one of the biggest UFC events to date in Europe with Swedish hero Alexander Gustafsson looking to secure another 205lb title shot against Anthony Johnson in the main event, while Dan Henderson takes on Gegard Mousasi in the co-main event.
Due to time-difference issues the main card of the event will take place in Sweden during the early hours of the morning in order to ensure that it can be broadcast live o the U.S during primetime on FOX.
