Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson Vs Wanderlei Silva 4 Targeted By Bellator

Bellator CEO Scott Coker has revealed that the promotion are in the process of putting together a fourth fight in an already classic series between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Wanderlei Silva.

Silva is apparently eager for the fight to take place in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, but as yet a venue and date for the clash has not been confirmed and it’s not yet clear what weight class the two would be fighting at.

In their trilogy so far, Silva has a 2-1 advantage, having first TKO’d Rampage with knee strikes in the finale of the PRIDE Final Conflict 2003 grand-prix and then brutally knocked him out again a year later at PRIDE 28.

Four years later Rampage finally got his revenge when he KO’d Silva in the first round at UFC 92 in 2008.

There’s been a lot of water under the bridge in the 10 years since then, although it’s interesting to note that Silva has only fought a further seven times during that period, having spent four years on the sidelines due to a lifetime suspension (which was later overturned) for fleeing from a random drug test while competing in the UFC.

Rampage has been far more active, fighting 14 times, compiling an 8-6 record, fighting for the UFC light-heavyweight title and winning Bellator’s season 10 heavyweight tournament.

However, Rampage is coming off back-to-back losses against Muhammed Lawal and Chael Sonnen in the past year, while Silva came back after his long layoff and also suffered a loss to Sonnen last year.
