Rafael dos Anjos will return to action against Alexander Hernandez in a lightweight fight at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 3rd.
It’s a little surprising to see Former UFC lightweight champion dos Anjos returning as he’s almost 42-years-old and has been out of action for the past two years after suffering an ACL tear in the 1st round of his last fight against Geoff Neal in October of 2024, which led to a TKO loss.
That had been RDA’s third loss in a row, having also dropped unanimous decisions to Vicente Luque and Mateusz Gamrot.
It seems that dos Anjos isn’t ready to call time on his career just yet though and so the veteran will now go up against the 33-year-old Hernandez.
Hernandez had come into 2026 riding a four-fight winning streak, including TKO finishes of Chase Hooper and Carlos Diego Ferreira, but then suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rafa Garcia back in April.
RDA vs. Hernandez joins a UFC 332 card that doesn’t yet have a confirmed headliner, but is expected to feature women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko vs. Natalia Silva in the co-main event, alongside the likes of Payton Talbott vs. Deiveson Figueiredo and Johnny Walker vs. Mick Parkin.
