The rumor-mill has sprung into action this weekend suggesting that Randy Couture could be considering coming out of retirement after new footage of him training were posted online.
Samuel Spira, who’s part of the management team at the Xtreme Couture gym posted up the video with the tag-line, “Look who’s back in the gym.”
A former UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion, the 52 year-old Couture retired back in 2011 after a KO loss to Lyoto Machida, but he did make an appearance at a recent Bellator media event alongside Fedor Emelianenko which reignited talk of a potential fight between the two MMA legends.
Fedor has since signed with the new Rizin MMA promotion who’s first event takes place in Japan on New Years Eve and airs on Spike TV. The Russian stars first opponent has yet to be officially named, though there were reports that it would be the relatively unknown Jaideep Singh.
