Given that Rich Franklin has fought Wanderlei Silva before in Germany at UFC 99 he’s in a good position as any to describe just what it’s like to face ‘The Axe Murderer’ in the cage as he prepares to do just that in their rematch which serves as the main event of UFC 147 next weekend.
“The best way to describe Wanderlei’s fighting style: It would be like fighting a tornado,” Franklin says in his pre-fight interview with UFC.com. “As long as you stay away from the tornado, your safe, but if you get too close to the tornado, it does damage.”
That’s all well and good, but let’s get around to the big talking point of this video – his new hairdo.
I mean seriously, what the hell was he thinking?
Of course it’s well known that Franklin’s ‘Ace’ nickname comes thanks to his resemblance to Jim Carrey and so my best guess is that he’s moonlighting as a stunt double for the actor in the forthcoming ‘Dumb & Dumber 2’ movie because that thing is definitely straying into Lloyd Christmas territory.
