Robbie Lawler Vs Donald Cerrone Set For UFC 205

Entertainment is guaranteed in the latest fight targeted for UFC 205 at MSG in New York City on November 12th, with former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler set to fight Donald Cerrone.

That’s the word according to Cleveland 92.3’s Anthony Lima who has stated on Twitter that Dana White confirmed to him that the fight has been signed for the show.

The fight was originally suggested by Cerrone on Twitter and it comes at a time when he’s established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the 170lb ranks since moving up in weight early in 2016.

So far he’s amassed three victories, defeating Alex Oliveira, Patrick Cote and Rick Story inside the distance, though it’s the dominant fashion that he’s done so that’s really turned people’s heads.

As for Lawler, his hugely enjoyable five fight winning streak that saw him win the welterweight title and successfully defend his belt twice came to an end at UFC 201 last month with a first round KO loss to Tyron Woodley.

Despite all the wars he’s been in over the past few years since returning to the UFC, ‘Ruthless’ is itching to get right back into the Octagon and given their fighting styles and eagerness to please the fans, fireworks are essentially guaranteed here.

So far the only other fight attached to the historic UFC 205 show is Thiago Alves Vs Al Iaquinta, but more big announcements are expected in the coming weeks for what’s sure to be a star-studded card.
