Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Roger Gracie will fight former UFC fighter Keith Jardine at a Strikeforce event in July.
The bout, which doesn’t yet have an exact date or location as yet, will be Gracie’s first at middleweight after moving down from light-heavyweight after a 4-1 run that ended with a KO loss to Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal last year.
For grizzled veteran Jardine, this will be his third fight for the promotion and he’s still in search of his first win after drawing with Lyoto Machida (at 205lbs), and then losing by TKO to Luke Rockhold in a middleweight title fight.
Meanwhile a fight for the vacant welterweight title between Nate Marquardt and Tyron Woodley could also be on the July card, though nothing’s been confirmed so far.
