Ronda Rousey Has Prominent Role In The Expendables 3

Not only is the UFC’s female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey going to feature in the upcoming Expendables 3 movie, it appears she has fairly prominent role too.

According to MMAJunkie, the current script calls for Rousey to appear in over 20 scenes and deliver 35 lines of dialogue – a big undertaking for the 26 year-old who’s never appeared in a movie before.

Given that the movie is jam-packed with action movie stars like Slyvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Jackie Chan to name but a very few, it’s surprising that she’s going to get so much screen-time, and a testament to how far she’s come in such a short space of time .

Rousey insists tha her movie obligations won’t affect the preparations for her upcoming rematch with Miesha Tate at UFC 168 in December however, stating that she’ll simply bring her fight camp with her.

While Rousey has so far stood head and shoulders above the competition in MMA, it still has to marked down as a concern that she now has so many distractions outside of the Octagon.

It’s been another whirlwind year for her and while she may be able to schedule her training around extra-curricular activities like coaching ‘The Ultimate Fighter season 18’ and now preparing to go on-set on ‘The Expandables 3’, it’s not quite the same as having a singular focus on the task at hand.

Rousey claims she’s used to multi-tasking, and she may be right, she’s so far appeared to cope with all the pressure bearing down on her shoulders since becoming practically an overnight superstar remarkably well up until this point.

However, one thing’s for sure – while Rousey’s rubbing shoulders with the stars in Hollywood, Tate will be drilling her armbar defense relentlessly and devoting all her time and energy into figuring out a way to derail her sworn enemies hype train and produce one of the biggest upsets of the year on December 28th.
