The UFC fight announcements are coming thick and fast today and the latest finds Ryan Bader going up against Ovince St. Preux in the main event of UFC Fight Night 47 in Maine on August 16th.
As it happens both men were in action at this past weekend’s UFC 174 event where each emerged victorious.
Bader dominated former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante in his main card bout, his second victory in a row which pegs him at No.8 on the 205lb rankings.
OSP also put another notch in the win column after his opponent Ryan Jimmo was forced to verbally submit due to a broken arm which was later reported to have been suffered while blocking a kick.
St.Preux is 4-0 in the UFC so far and this past weekend’s victory helped him just up two places on the official rankings to make the light-heavyweight top 10 for the first time.
Along with Bader Vs OSP, a middleweight encounter featuring Tim Boetsch Vs Brad Tavares is also scheduled for the event’s main card which will air on FOX Sports 1.
