Sage Northcutt Vs Enrique Marin Set For UFC 200

Sage Northcutt

UFC starlet Sage Northcutt Vs Enrique Marin is the latest fight announced for the UFC 200 event in Las Vegas on July 9th.

Northcutt, who celebrated his 20th birthday in March, is coming off his first loss, succumbing to a second round arm-triangle choke loss against Bryan Barberena at UFC On FOX 18 in January.

The somewhat derailed the Northcutt hype-train, which had been gathering momentum after a 7-0 start to his MMA career and a big promotional push from the UFC. Nonetheless, given his age he still has a great deal of potential, and his inclusion on this high-profile card suggests the promotion continue to believe he’s a star in the making.

Northcutt’s opponent on the night will be the TUF: Latin America season 2 runner-up Marin, who lost out by split decision to Erick Montano in the final.

That was Marin’s only fight in the Octagon so far, though he does hold an 8-3 pro MMA record overall.

Northcutt Vs Marin is expected to take place in the prelims of the UFC 200 show, which will be headlined by a welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, with a featherweight interim title fight betewen Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar also scheduled for the stacked card.

However, the co-main event of the evening has still not been announced, so fans are currently waiting with baited breath to find out who will take that spot on the card.
