According to a new report, ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is set to fight Zak Ottow at UFC Fight Night 133 in Boise, Idaho on July 14th.
The fight, first reported by FanSided, would see the 22-year-old Northcutt returning to welterweight, despite having struggled to make an impact in that division during his UFC run so far.
In Northcutt’s two previous outings at 170lbs in the Octagon he’s picked up losses against both Bryan Barberena and Mickey Gall, which at lightweight he has a more impressive 5-0 UFC run, including his current back-to-back victories over Michel Quinones and Thibault Gouti.
The 31-year-old Ottow has so far alternated between wins and losses in his time with the UFC for an overall 3-2 run, but is coming off the biggest win of his career to date last month when he TKO’d Mike Pyle in the first round, sending the veteran into retirement.
So far Northcutt Vs Ottow is the only fight to be linked to the UFC Fight Night 133 event, which will mark the UFC’s first ever visit to Idaho and will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
