Shara Magomedov delivered a jaw-dropping spinning double-backfist to TKO Armen Petrosyan tonight at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.

Round One:

Petrosyan kicks to the leg as he looks to take the center of the Octagon. Inside leg kicks from him and a low kick from Magomedov too.

Hard straight right from Petrosyan seems to trouble Magomedov. Petrosyan presses forward but opts to clinch up.

Back out the clinch now and Magomedov seems ok. Punch for Petroyan. Low kick from Magomedov. Magomedov chops to the calf twice in quick succession.

Body kick from Petrosyan but Magomedov catches him with a right hand.

Inside leg kick from Petrosyan and then punches behind it. Body kick for Magomedov and a punch grazes him in return.

Another low kick for Petrosyan. Jab for him. Left hook lands nicely for Magomedov. Low kicks exchanged. Low kick from Petrosyan and this time a harder one in response from Magomedov.

Body kick for Petrosyan. More leg kick exchanges. Now Magomedov starts to check a couple of kicks. Petrosyan goes for a body kick instead.

Spinning backfist from Magomedov in the final 10 seconds of the round lands, but Petrosyan wears it well.

Round Two:

Body kick for Petrosyan. Leg kick for him. More leg kicks for Petrosyan. Punch over the top from Magomedov on the counter now.

Right hand from Magomedov as he’s backing away. Kick from Petrosyan strays to the groin and Magomedov take a knee while being given time to recouperate.

Body kick for Magomedov on the restart. Right hand connects from Petrosyan as Magomedov also connects. They clinch up briefly then separate.

side kick from Magomedov. Petrosyan trying to come forward to land but gets caught by a grazing counter-hook.

Body kick for Petrosyan. he tries for a head kick. Right hand from him. Body kick for Magomedov. Now a body punch from him. Inside leg kick from Petrosyan and a punch in return from Magomedov.

High kick attempt from Magmedov. He goes for a side kick but it strays to the groin and so Petrosyan now needs a timeout to recover.

They restart again. Body kick for Magomedov. Low kick from Petrosyan and a body punch from Magomedov on the counter.

Side kick from Magomedov to maintain distance as Petrosyan was pressing forward. Magomedov goes to the body with a punch again.

Spinning backfist from Petrosyan. Inside leg kicks from Magomedov. Glancing right hand from Petrosyan.

Nice reaching right hand from Magomedov. Wow, Magomedov throws a double spinning backfist and floors Petrosyan with it!! Magomedov walks off to celebrate even before the ref steps in to wave off the fight by TKO at 4.52mins of the 2nd round.

What a remarkable, one-of-a-kind finish from Magomedov, landing a spinning backfist and then immediately transitioning to another one on the other side, with both connecting cleanly to end the fight in style!
