Sodiq Yusuff and Alex Caceres have signed up to fight each other at UFC Fight Night 204 on March 12th.
The featherweight fight comes at a time when Yusuff is coming off the first loss of his UFC run, having came out on the wrong end of a unanimous decision verdict against Arnold Allen back in April of last year.
However, before that the 28-year-old had compiled a four-fight winning streak in the Octagon that had seen him beat the likes of Suman Mokhtarian, Sheymon Moraes, Gabriel Benitez and Andre Fili.
Now Yusuff will look to get back on track against Caceres, who is enjoying the best form of his long UFC campaign, having racked up five wins in a row over the past few years.
Admittedly it’s a run that’s not seen the 33-year-old go up against the biggest names in the featherweight division, instead picking up wins over the likes of Steven Peterson, Chase Hooper and most recently Seung Woo Choi, but nonetheless it’s seen him battle his way to the No.15 spot in the rankings.
Yusuff vs. Caceres joins a UFC Fight Night 204 card that is expected to be headlined by Thiago Santos vs. Magomed Ankalaev and will also feature Song Yadong vs. Marlon Moraes.
