Strikeforce welterweight champion Tarec Saffiedine won’t be making his UFC debut against Robbie Lawler at ‘UFC On FOX 8’ after picking up an injury.
Lawler will instead now face Siyar Bahadurzada at the July 27th event.
Under the circumstances this is a pretty good switch. Like Saffiedine, Bahadurzada is a dangerous striker so Lawler shouldn’t need to change up his gameplan too much.
Both men are exceptionally heavy-handed so there’s a good chance we’ll be witnessing the ‘Knockout Of The night’ in this particular bout.
‘UFC On FOX 8’ is due to be headlined by a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga with welterweight star Rory MacDonald facing Jake Ellenberger in the co-main event.
