Tatiana Suarez Vs Nina Ansaroff Set For UFC 238

A major strawweight fight between Tatiana Suarez and Nina Ansaroff has been announced for UFC 238 on June 8th in Chicago.

Suarez first entered the UFC after winning The Ultimate Fighter Season 23 and she’s now racked up four victories in a row inside the Octagon, defeating Amanda Cooper, Viviane Pereira, Alex Grasso and most recently a TKO victory over former champion Carla Esparza.

In total that leaves the 28-year-old with a flawless 7-0 career record and she’s currently ranked joint third in the 115lb division.

As for Ansaroff, who is engaged to UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes, she too is currently in the midst of a four-fight winning streak that has included victories over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger, Angela Hill, Randa Markos and then her biggest win to date over former title contender Claudia Gadelha in December of last year.

Prior to that Ansaroff had lost two of her other three fights in the UFC, so it’s been an impressive turn around in fortunes and has left her sharing the 3rd spot on the rankings with her upcoming opponent.

With that in mind, both fighters could be on the verge of a title shot if they beat the other in June.

Suarez Vs Ansaroff joins a UFC 238 card that currently has a women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Jessica Eye attached to it, though there is likely to be another major fight added that could headline the event.
