Tito Ortiz has announced that he’s no longer retired as he looks to pursue a recently rumored trilogy fight with his nemesis, Chuck Liddell.
“I want to give the fans the fight they have been waiting for #TitovsChuck3 #Redemption thanks to @primetime360esm with @get_repost,” Ortiz wrote on Instagram.
“Tito Ortiz is officially out of a year long retirement. While on @BitetheMic with @MikeTyson and @Tattootheone Tito was asked if he was going to fight @chuckliddell -Tito replied why doesn’t @OscarDeLaHoya @GoldenBoyBoxing get into #MMA and promote the fight. Oscar should promote it and give the fans what they want Tito Ortiz vs Chuck Liddell 3.”
Boxing hall-of-famer turned Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya recently declared that he was interested in making the fight happen after a face-to-face meeting with the 48-year-old Liddell in Los Angeles.
‘The Iceman’, who holds both a KO and a TKO victory over the 43-year-old Ortiz, signalled his eagerness to get back into the cage with ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ and with his rival now also on-board it seems like it’s just a case of De La Hoya managing to put together a deal that will convince the two stars to put pen to paper.
