Following last night’s TUF 20 Finale event in Las Vegas the winners of the evening’s $50,000 fighter bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the main card opener, a competitive battle between two of the season’s best fighters, Jessica Penne and Randa Markos who both gave a good account of themselves, with Penne’s BJJ skills helping her to a split decision win.
TUF 20 winner and new strawweight champion Carla Esparza also walked away with a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award for her assured display of wrestling against Rose Namajunas that was capped off with a rear-naked choke finish in the third round.
The other ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus was handed to Yancy Medeiros who was able to drop Joe Proctor with a spinning kick to the body late in the first round before finishing with a guillotine choke.
