Following last night’s TUF 28 Finale the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion there was no ‘Fight Of The Night’ award, so instead four separate ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses were dished out.
As you might expect, main event winner Kamaru Usman was one of the bonus winners after he completely dominated former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos from start to finish with powerful grappling peppered with occasional flurries of strikes.
Joseph Benavidez also scooped up a performance bonus after TKO’ing Alex Perez in the first round of their preliminary card encounter.
Juan Espino won TUF 28’s heavyweight final last night and earned a performance award as well after easily controlling Justin Frazier on the mat and then tapping him out with a straight armlock in the opening round.
Finally, prelim card fighter Roosevelt Roberts, a prospect from Dana White’s Contender Series, also claimed a bonus after he managed to submit Darrell Horcher with a guillotine choke submission of the first round.
