UFC 150 Announced: Ben Henderson Vs Frankie Edgar Title Rematch Could Headline

The UFC’s 150th event will take place on August 11th and the historic occasion is rumored to be playing host to a major lightweight title rematch.

Ben Henderson seized the lightweight belt from Frankie Edgar back at UFC 144 in February in a highly competitive ‘Fight Of The Night’ display, and now the two men are believed to be set to do it all over again at the forthcoming event.

The UFC confirmed yesterday that UFC 150 will see the promotion return to Denver, Colorado which welcomed the first ever UFC event all the way back at UFC 1 on November 12th, 1993, but it should be stressed that at this stage they haven’t confirmed that Henderson Vs Edgar 2 will feature on the card.

Instead they made two other fights official for the show, with Luiz Cane dropping down to middleweight to fight Yushin Okami, and Dennis Hallman taking on Thiago Tavares.

Nevertheless, MMAJunkie reports that Henderson and Edgar have signed verbal agreements for the Denver show.
