Following last night’s UFC 169 event in New Jersey the recipients of the evening’s bonus awards were announced.
Winning ‘Fight Of The Night’ was the all-action firefight between Jamie Varner and Abel Trujillo which proved to be a great way to kick off the main card.
‘Knockout Of The Night’ also went to Trujillo for his devastating finish against Varner
UFC 169 proved to be a decision heavy card and there were no submission finishes, so that $50,000 bonus award was left unclaimed at the end of the night.
Rather than just claim that money for the themselves the UFC opted to share it among the two ‘Fight Of The Night’ winners, meaning that in total Trujillo earned $125,000 in bonus money, while Varner pocketed $75,000.
