Due to the fact that the UFC 205 event is overflowing with major fights, the promotion have announced that the pay-per-view portion of the broadcast will be extended by an hour and feature one extra fight compared to usual.
That means fight fans can look forward to four hours of fights from Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 12th, with a total of six fights featuring on the PPV card.
An extension beyond the usual three hour window was necessary as there’s no less than three 25-minute title fights at the top of the card, with lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez defending his title against featherweight title holder Conor McGregor in the main event, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley making his first defense against Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in the co-main event, and woman’s bantamweight kingpin Joanna Jędrzejczyk taking on fellow Polish fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
The other three fights that will also make it onto the pay-per-view broadcast are former middleweight champion Chris Weidman Vs Yoel Romero, Donald Cerrone Vs Kelvin Gastelum and former woman’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate Vs Raquel Pennington.
As always the main card will air at 10pm Eastern Time in the U.S (3am UK), so it’s going to be a late night for everyone, but given the quality of the line-up everyone will be wide awake until the final punch is thrown.
