The salaries resulting from this past weekend’s UFC 209 event have been released and show that the heavyweight pairing of Alistair Overeem Vs Mark Hunt were the evening’s top earners, with each banking an impressive $750,000 payday.
Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley was next up with $500,000, while his title challenger Stephen Thompson wasn’t too far behind with $380,000.
Former light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans was the only other fighter on the card to earn a six-figure cheque, trousering $150,000 despite his loss on the scorecards.
Darren Elkins wasn’t far off the pace though and earned ever penny of his $92,000 salary, while Marcin Tybura made $72,000 for his win in the featured prelim prior to the main card.
