UFC Fight Night 103 Draws Over A Million Viewers

UFC Fight Night 103: Rodriguez Vs Penn was watched by an average of 1,090,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1 this past Sunday night.

That’s 10% above the UFC’s average on FS1 last year, which is good going considering that the event aired in an uncommon Sunday night slot and was going up against the Kansas City Chiefs Vs Pittsburgh Steelers play-off game that did over 37 million viewers.

The event peaked with 1,604,000 viewers during the main event between Yair Rodriguez and BJ Penn, indicating that fans were still interested in seeing ‘The Prodigy’ fight despite the legendary fighters long absence from the Octagon.

Perhaps the most impressive rating of the night however was the 824,000 viewers who tuned in to watch the prelims earlier in the evening on FOX Sports 1, making that the fifth most watched undercard in the past year, despite the fact there was no notable stars competing there.

Those who tuned into the UFC Fight Night 103 broadcast hoping to see Penn rediscover his old spark will have switched off afterwards feeling sorely disappointed with what they witnessed, but the main event did showcase the undeniable talent of Yair Rodriguez, who the UFC will be hoping can now develop into a major Mexican star for the organization.
