UFC Fight Night 104 drew an average of 1,158,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1 this past Saturday night.
That’s the best ratings for a ‘Fight Night’ card on the channel for a year, despite the fact that on paper this was a somewhat underwhelming line-up of fights with little in the way of star power.
The reason for the relatively strong ratings is that the event came during Super Bowl weekend, which traditionally brings higher numbers, such as for last year’s UFC Fight Night 82, which drew over 1.3 million viewers, albeit with a stronger fight card.
Those who tuned in on Saturday night were treated to ‘The Korean Zombie’ marking his comeback with an uppercut KO win over Dennis Bermudez and Felice Herrig upsetting rising contender Alexa Grasso by decision, but surprisingly it was actually Ovince St. Preux’s split decision loss to newcomer Volkan Oezdemir that drew the highest audience of the night, peaking at 1,286,000 viewers.
In addition UFC Fight Night 104’s prelims also drew a healthy 834,000 viewers, though that’s down from UFC Fight Night 82’s 1,093,000 viewers at the same time last year.
