UFC Fight Night 112 Weigh-In Results – Johny Hendricks Misses Weight

The UFC Fight Night 112 early weigh-ins have now taken place and you can see what all the fighters tipped the scales at below.

The big story out of the weigh-ins was that unbelievably, despite having only recently been forced to move up to middleweight due to repeated failures to make the welterweight limit, co-main event star Johny Hendricks tipped the scales at 188lbs today – 2lbs overweight.

Hendricks struggles on the scales are hard to fathom and hark back to a time when Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson also botched a number of cuts that would eventually see him move all the way up to light-heavyweight from welterweight.

However, Johnson had been massive for a welterweight, standing 6ft 2″ with a 78″ reach, so it was something of a miracle that he ever made it down to 170lbs, and his frame became perfectly suited for 205lbs.

On the other hand, the 33-year-old Hendricks is much smaller, standing just 5ft 9″ tall and has a 69″ reach and so all the signs point to a lack of discipline when it comes to his diet and training, both in and out of his fight camps.
