Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 160 event in Copenhagen, Denmark, the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion there was no ‘Fight Of The Night’ award and so four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses were dished out instead.
Main event winner Jared Cannonier claimed his bonus with an upset win over Jack Hermansson, who rocked his opponent early in the second round and then blasted him with ground and pound for the TKO finish.
Ovince Saint Preux had to weather an early storm from Michal Oleksiejczuk, but he stayed composed and then in the second round was able to get his opponent down and then nicely worked for his speciality submission, the Von Flue choke, which would result in his fourth finish with that move – an MMA record.
Earlier in the night John Phillips closed up the prelims in stunningly swift fashion as he knocked out Alen Amedovski with punches just 17 seconds into the fight.
Also earning a performance bonus was Jack Shore, who left it until the third round to find a rear-naked choke submission victory over Nohelin Hernandez.
