Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 168 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the main event war between Dan Hooker and Paul Felder that went the full five rounds.
In the early rounds it was Hooker who started strongly, dictating the range with clean punches and hard leg kicks, but as the fight progressed Felder dug deep and started to find a home for his own strikes with regularity, leaving both men battered and bruised before the split decision verdict landed in Hooker’s favor.
Meanwhile Jimmy Crute earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus for his first round victory over Michal Oleksiejczuk in the co-main event, landing repeated takedowns in the opening stages of the fight, before managing to work for a kimura submission to force a tapout.
Priscila Cachoeira opened up the night with a bang after a brawl with Shana Dobson led to a 40 second KO victory courtesy of an uppercut and picked up a performance bonus for her handiwork.
