Following last night’s ‘UFC Fight Night 33’ event in Australia the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 fighter bonus awards were announced.
No prizes will be awarded for correctly guessing that the 25 minute heavyweight war between Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva won ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors. This slugfest was amongst the best heavyweight fights ever to grace the Octagon so it was always a a lock to win this award.
‘Knockout Of The Night’ was also a no-brainer with Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua’s devastating first round KO of James Te Huna being well worth the bonus money.
There were no submission on last night’s card so that money gets left on the table on this occasion.
