Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 45 event in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 fighter bonus awards were announced.
Claiming ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors the main card encounter between John Lineker and Alptekin Ozkilic, a hard-hitting three-round encounter that finished just nine seconds before the final bell when Lineker’s heavy hands finally produced a TKO finish.
Meanwhile, main event star Donald Cerrone earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus thanks to his impressive display against the always tough veteran Jim Miller, hurting him with body kicks early in the fight before eventually putting him away courtesy of a nasty neck kick KO.
There were a few candidates for the other ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus, with Dana White admitting on Twitter that it had been tough to pick all the bonuses after an entertaining night of fights, but in the end it was scooped up by Lucas Martins who outstruck the resilient Alex White for significant portions of their fight before a big right hand delivered the knockout finish.
