UFC Fight Night 91 Bonuses

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 91 event in South Dakota, the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the back and forth battle between Tony Ferguson and newcomer Lando Vannata. Despite his long winning streak, Ferguson found himself in real trouble in the opening round as Vannata hurt him with a spinning backfist and punches, then later rocked him with a head kick. The second round belonged to Ferguson though as he landed some solid jabs, a huge superman punch and then took Vannata to the mat with a d’arce choke to produce a submission victory.

Main event star John Lineker earned one of two ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses after his knockout victory against Michael McDonald in the main event, dropping him several times before finally putting him away with a vicious left hook followed up by ground and pound.

Louis Smolka also scored a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus after claiming a second TKO victory against Ben Nguyen in the opening bout of the evening’s main card.
