UFC Heads To Nottingham, England For Event In September

UK fans will be pleased to hear that the UFC are plotting a return to the British Isles with Nottingham, England’s ‘Capital FM Arena’ set to host a show on September 29th.

This will the UFC’s first visit to the UK this year, with their last event in the region being UFC 138: Munoz Vs Leben back in November.

It’s not quite clear yet what level of show the UK fans will be getting, with conflicting reports emerging of it being either ‘UFC 153’, or perhaps a ‘UFC On FX’ / ‘UFC On Fuel TV style card.

Given that UFC 152 is just a week earlier on September 22nd and UFC 154 isn’t until November my own assessment is that it’s much more likely to the be the latter option unless there’s some sort of reshuffling of the schedule planned.

With Nottingham being the home of Dan Hardy who finally got back to winning ways at the weekend with a KO win over Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig, the smart money would be on him having a prominent place on the show.

TUF: Live contestant Andy Ogle is also set to feature on the card after being promised a spot by Dana White.

Ross launched MMA Insight (previously FightOfTheNight.com) in 2009 as a way to channel his passion for the sport of mixed martial arts. He's since penned countless news stories and live fight reports along with dozens of feature articles as the lead writer for the site, reaching millions of fans in the process.
