UFC On FOX 12 TV Ratings (Overnights)

The overnight ratings for UFC On FOX 12 are in and show that an average of 2.02 million viewers tuned in for the live event.

UFC On FOX 12 (Estimated Half-Hourly Ratings):

  • 8pm: 1.55 million Viewers
  • 8.30pm: 1.97 million viewers
  • 9pm: 2.26 million viewers
  • 9.30pm: 2.23 million viewers

While not an impressive audience at first glance, it was still enough for FOX to tie the night with NBC in terms of the coveted 18-49 year-old adult demographic that’s so coveted by marketers.

It should also be stressed that these are just the overnight numbers and don’t include the west coast ratings or the fact that the main event ran over a further half-hour, so the final numbers which will be available mid-week should see a higher overall audience.

The ratings here appear to be painting a familiar picture as past events on FOX have shown that the ratings tend to dip for their events in the middle of the year compared to the shows they put on during the Football season in December and January.

It’s unfortunate that UFC On FOX 12 couldn’t break the mould though with Lawler Vs Brown being two fighters in excellent form who’re always known to put on exciting fights, while Johnson Vs Nogueira was a reasonably solid co-main event.

The event wasn’t heavily promoted though and comes at the end of a hectic spell for the UFC with five events crammed into the last month alone, so it’s not unexpected.
