UFC On FOX 17 Salaries

The UFC On FOX 17 Salaries have been revealed and show that Alistair Overeem was the biggest earner on the night, banking an impressive $542,857 for his victory over Junior dos Santos who was next on the list with $400,000.

This was the final fight on Overeem’s current UFC deal and he now plans to test the free market. By the looks of things he was already one of the organizations best paid fighters in terms of basic salary, so it’ll be interesting to see whether anyone else out there can afford him, and what the UFC themselves would be willing to pay to retain the 35 year-old who’s picked himself up after a slump in form and is now on a three-fight winning streak.

Lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos was also well compensated on the night for his successful title defense, taking home $300,000 for 66 seconds of fighting in the main event.

That trio were the only fighters to breach the six figure mark for basic salaries on the night, though Nate Marquardt came close with $98,000.

Meanwhile, defeated headliner Donald Cerrone trousered $79,000 while UFC veteran Nate Diaz only received $40,000 for his win.
