The first bout for UFC On FOX 4 on August 4th has been announced and pits Joe Lauzon against Terry Etim.
Lauzon and Etim share a rather unfortunate common bond in that they both lost their last fight by a head kick KO, with Etim sent crashing to the canvas by a spectacular spinning wheel kick courtesy of Edson Barboza in January, while Lauzon succumbed to a foot upside his head from Anthony Pettis the following month.
Despite those setbacks Lauzon and Etim are still two talented lightweight fighters and win or lose both also deliver plenty of entertainment inside the Octagon, with Lauzon claiming an impressive haul of three ‘Fight Of The Night’ awards along with four ‘Submission’s Of The Night’ while Etim has one ‘Fight Of The Night’ and four ‘Submission’s Of The Night’.
So if this one does end up on the main card of the FOX show in Los Angeles then they can be relied upon to put on a show for the millions watching at home.
Nevertheless, we fully expect that some higher profile bouts to be announced in the coming weeks to fill up to the top end of this fight card.
