There was a lot of pressure on Stephen Thompson’s shoulder’s for his UFC debut at UFC 143 given that he came into the fight undefeated in 63 kickboxing bouts, 5 MMA fights and went by the nickname ‘Wonderboy’.

A lot of fighters with big reputations and impressive records have stepped into the Octagon and quickly found themselves being humbled on the sport’s biggest stage, but Thompson was not one of them and he wooed the crowd with his fluid striking technique which lead to a first round head kick KO win over Dan Stiggen which was recently profiled as one of the 5 best knockouts of the year so far by ‘UFC Tonight’.

In a new video profile from the UFC we get to take a look behind the scenes at Thompson got ready for his first fight for the promotion, and here from his teammate, none other than Georges St.Pierre who sings his praises and boldly claims that, “Wonderboy is the best striker I’ve seen in my life and he will have a lot of success in the UFC.”
