UFC light-heavyweight fighter Phil Davis stars in a new high-profile commercial from Sprite.
It’s all part of a new campaign from the Coca-Cola owned brand which is targeting U.S teens by focusing on what they describe as the “intense” taste of the soft-drink.
It’s a real coup for ‘Mr Wonderful’ to be appearing on such a big ad as it’s generally the sport’s real superstars such as GSP, Jon Jones or Anderson Silva who would land this type of gig.
Davis made a perfect 9-0 start to his MMA career after a successful amateur wrestling career, taking out the likes of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Brian Stann, Alexander Gustafsson and Tim Boetsch along the way.
That put him into a 205lb title eliminator with Rashad Evans in the main event of ‘UFC on FOX 2’ event in January which resulted in him picking up his first loss by unanimous decision.
The 27 year-old is now set to take on Wagner Prado at ‘UFC On FOX 4’ next weekend as he looks to get back on track.
Meanwhile his Sprite commercial will debut this Saturday to coincide with the start of the Olympics, but you can check it out for yourselves below.
