UFC’s Shane Del Rosario In Critical Condition After Full Cardiac Arrest

UFC heavyweight fighter Shane Del Rosario is currently in critical condition in hospital after suffering what his management have described as a “complete cardiovascular collapse” while at his home yesterday morning.

The 30 year-old was taken to hospital suffering from a full cardiac arrest and was resuscitated in the emergency room before being moved to the coronary care unit where he remains in critical condition today.

Del Rosario had just pulled out of a fight with Guto Innocente at the UFC’s final show of the year in Las Vegas last week due to a rib injury.

That had been set to be the former Strikeforce fighter’s third fight under the UFC’s banner, and a chance to extend his current 11-2 career record.

Del Rosario clearly has a bigger fight on his hands right now though and we’d like to take this opportunity to wish him a full and speedy recovery.
