Uriah Hall Earns Spectacular TKO Win Over Gegard Mousasi At UFC Fight Night 75

Uriah Hall just claimed his biggest victory to date with a spectacular TKO finish against Gegard Mousasi in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 75 that began with a highlight reel worthy spinning back kick.

Round One:

Mousasi throws the right hand early. Now he’s in on a takedown and he’s got Hall down quickly in this bout.

Mousasi lands a couple of solid right hands. He moves to half guard and then slides to side control. He goes for full mount and almost has it, but Hall pushes him off. Mousasi goes striaght back into his full guard though to maintain his advantage on the mat.

Mousasi to half guard again. He’s all over Hall at the moment in the grappling battle. Half the round over and Mousasi slickly passes to full mount. Good work from Hall though as he escapes that position and looks for a leg lock. Mousasi stays relaxed and is able to get away from that.

Back on top Mousasi goes, but Hall threatens with a kimura. Mousasi tries to roll away from that, but Hall tries to trap him and really crank the submission. Again Mousasi doesn’t panick and figures his way out of danger.

Soon after Mousasi is able to seize Hall’s back, softens him up with a few punches and then goes for the rear-naked choke. Hall defending though and with the 10 second count coming in soon afterwards he’s able to hang in there until the bell.

Round Two:

Hall lands a jab to start. Mousasi responds with a leg kick. Suddenly Hall throws a spinning back kick and it lands and he has Mousasi staggering backwards. He’s rocked! Hall chases after him and connects with a big knee and Mousasi crashes to the canvas.
Amazing stuff from Hall and he continues that momentum with ground and pound on the mat.

The ref is taking a real close look at this now and with Mousasi essentially just covering up now and still dazed he decides enough is enough – Hall just earned himself a huge TKO victory just 25 seconds into the second round!
