Uriah Hall Passed Out During ‘Scary’ UFC Fight Night 124 Weigh-in Mishap

More details have now emerged about the reason for Uriah Hall no-showing yesterday’s UFC Fight Night 124 weigh-ins, which led to his co-main event fight with Vitor Belfort being scrapped.

Hall was apparently on one of the fighter buses headed for the weigh-ins yesterday when he suddenly passed out, with some reports suggesting that he then started having a seizure.

“Please send Prayers up for @UriahHallMMA scariest thing I have ever seen. [🙏] [🏼],” Paige VanZant wrote on Twitter after witnessing Hall’s sudden decline firsthand.

Hall was rushed to hospital after the incident, where he was later said to be awake and feeling better, though doctors were still planning to do further tests and it was suspected that it may have been a kidney related issue.

Hall’s opponent, Belfort, who had been set to retire after their fight this evening, has since posted a statement wishing him well.

“I dedicated 2 months for this training camp,” Belfort wrote. “Stayed away from my family and who knows me knows how hard this is for me. I spent all necessary to have the best structure to achieve my goal. My team had an intense dedication even during the holidays. I did all my fight week obligations, cut the weight and made the fight weight. Unfortunately my opponent had a problem during his weight cut, I wish him a soon recovery @uriahhall .Now I just want to go back home and see my family. Thanks for all the support along this training camp.Love you all!!”

With Belfort Vs Hall removed from tonight’s event, a preliminary card fight between Michael Johnson and Darren Elkins has now been moved up to main card status.
