Vitor Belfort Head Kick KO’s Dan Henderson At UFC Fight Night 77

Vitor Belfort proved he’s still as lethal as ever tonight in the main event of UFC Fight Night 77 as he TKO’d Dan Henderson with a perfectly placed head kick followed up by punches.

Round One:

The main event of the evening is underway in Sao Paulo. Both men very cautious to start with, keeping a respectful amount of distance from each other. Hard to blame them with so much firepower on both sides. Hendo lands a couple of low leg kicks.

A minute and a half in and they are still out of striking range eyeing each other. Just when it seems like this is getting a bit silly Belfort steps forward, unleashes a left head kick that buckles Henderson back against the cage. He follows up with a couple of punches and Henderson drops to the mat. Belfort lands a few ground and pound strikes and it’s all over! Belfort knocks out Henderson in the first round!

Henderson Was still moving there, so not completely out, but despite his protests it was definitely a good stoppage.

So Belfort wins the trilogy fight between these two legends in style and shows he’s still a force to be reckoned with in the middleweight division. As for Henderson, his chin clearly isn’t what it once was as you might expect at the age of 45 and with just two wins in his last eight fights perhaps now is the time for him to hang up his gloves for good.
