Following the UFC’s major announcement yesterday that the company has struck a deal to make ESPN+ it’s exclusive pay-per-view partner in the United States, UFC President Dana White sat down with Megan Olivi to discuss the arrangement in more detail and talk about the future of the promotion.
During the interview White revealed that not only has the UFC’s existing broadcasting deal with ESPN now been extended to seven years alongside this new PPV arrangement, but also both he and Ari Emanuel have also signed seven year deals to remain at the helm for the UFC going forward.
White also discussed the UFC’s plans to expand their current headquarters in Las Vegas in addition to new facilities around the world, talked about the success of his working relationship with UFC owner Ari Emanuel and discussed several fighters he sees as being big stars for the promotion in the future.
In addition to that, White also claimed during the interview that MMA is now one of the ‘big-four’ sports in North America.
