Youtube sensation Logan Paul’s latest video shows him sparring UFC middleweight star Paulo Costa at the UFC’s Performance Institute in Las Vegas and it doesn’t work out well for him.
The video shows Paul being introduced by Bruce Buffer and then highlights from his sparring session with Costa.
During the sparring Paul is alleged to have been KO’d by Costa, who is seen landing a thunderous right hand that sends him to the mat unconscious.
However, on closer inspection the punch actually appears to land to his shoulder and like much of the rest of the video, appears to have been staged for the cameras.
Nevertheless, this is still great publicity for the UFC and Costa as Paul has a huge reach on YouTube, as demonstrated by the fact that the video already has over 2.5 million views in the space of a single day.
Costa is currently 13-0 in his MMA career, winning 11 of those fights inside the distance by strikes and has defeated the likes of Uriah Hall, Johny Hendricks and most recently Yoel Romero in the Octagon so far.
The 28-year-old is currently expected to be the next title challenger for middleweight titleholder Israel Adesanya and in fact would have fought him at this past weekend’s UFC 248 event instead of Yoel Romero if it hadn’t been for an injury sidelining him.
